Annapurna Conservation Area
Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) is Nepal's first and the largest conservation area. Annapurna Conservation Area situated in middle western and surrounded by an area of 7,600 sq. kilometers in nepal. it is very near from Pokhara. The area includes 1,226 species of plants, including 38 species of orchids, 9 species of rhododendron and several kind of fish. It is abode to wildlife such as blue sheep and snow leopards. Birds include the Impeyan pheasant, and butterflies and insects not found in this area. Upper-altitude area is good in suumer, but low-altitude area is good for whole year.
Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve
Only one wildlife where allowed for hunting that is Dhorapatan Hunting Reserve. The reserve is situated in Dhaulgiri (west nepal) and very close from Rukum, Myagdi and Baglung districts . the reserve's is established in 1983 but well-known in 1987. the Dhorpatan's aim is to provide sport hunting. the reserve's provide to play game animals for prohibited hunting. the area of the reserve's is 1325 sq. kilometers. this region's vegetation is alpine, sub-alpine and high temperature vegetation. fir, pine and spruce, this kinds vegtation found here. Wildlife also provide blue sheep, a prized for hunter. Kanchanjunga Conservation Area
Kanchanjunga conservation area is situated in Northeast Nepal in Taplejung District. it is below of Kanchanga Mountain. it is covered by an areas of 2035 sq. kilometers. the area is made by alpine grassland. rocky outcorps and subtropical forests. this conservaton area is very pleasant to looking during spring season. every where out-standing of flowering glory of rhododendron, lilies, primula, and many others flowers. Many kinds wildlife as snow leopard, himalyan black beer, musk deer, red panda, blue sheep, rhesus macaw impheyan pheasant, red-billed, blue magpie, shy drongo are among the birds found in the area.
Royal Chitwan National Park
Royal Chitwan Park is placed in the Inner Tarai Lowlands of chitwan. it is very famous national park in Nepal which is covered 932 sq kilometers. the park includes hilly area's of the Shivalik Range which is covered by deciduous trees. Narayani, Rapti, and the Reu flow from besides. The Park covered by crowded tall elephant grass, forests of silk cotton , acacia and sisam trees. in 1973, the royal chitwan Park held officially established and added in 1984 in World Heritage Site.
Endangered Asian Species like the one-horned rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal tiger are sheltered by Royal Chitwan Park. Leopard, sloth bear, wild boar, rhesus monkey, grey langur monkey, wild dog, small wild cats, bison, the four species of deer and other small animals also found in the Park. Marsh Crocodiles lived in swampy areas. In River Narayani, the gangetic crocodile live that only feed on fish. dolphins also found in this river. Many kinds of birds ( approx 450 Species ) live here and nice view for watching bird from here.
Sagarmatha National Park
The highest point on the earth, situated The Sagarmatha National Park in Northeast Nepal. its covered an area 1148 sq. kilometers. its upper sides is Dudh Koshi rivers, Bhote Koshi and Imja khola. This area is famous for Sherpa and they are called khambu in rugged region as well as deep gorge and glaciers. this park is nominated in World Heritage Site in 1979.
In Sagarmatha National Park, many types animal inhabited this park like Himalayan Tahr, Ghoral, Musk deer, Mouse hare, Weasel, Jackal, himalayan Black Bear, wolf, lynx and snow Leopard, Birds generally seen are Impeyan Pheasant, blood pheasant, snow cock, snow pigeon, red billed and yellow billed cough, himalayan griffen vulture and lammergeier.
Royal Bardia National Park

The Royal Bardia National Park was established in 1988, and covers an area of 968 sq. kilometers. It is located in the Far-west Nepal, to the east of River Karnali. It is the largest park in the Terai lowlands. The park is for the most part covered with Sal trees. The area is marked by a wide variety of plant life in its grassland, savanna and riverine forests. Wildlife includes the one-horned rhino, tiger, black buck, gharial crocodile, snakes, lizards and 200 species of birds.
Langtang National Park
Langtang National Park was established in 1976. It covers an area of 1,710 sq. kilometers. It is located in the Central Himalayas and is the nearest national park from Kathmandu. Langtang encloses two river areas. It has some areas of subtropical forest, temperate oak forest and pine forests.
It also includes alpine scrub and grasses. Plants include blue pine, hemlock, spruce and oak. Wildlife includes wild dog, musk deer and Himalayan black bear. The Himalayan red panda is the resident mascot of Langtang. The Langtang region is a very important transit route for migratory birds.
Khaptad National Park
Khaptad National Park was established in 1984, and covers an area of 255 sq. kilometers. It is located in the mid-mountain region of Far-west Nepal. The park is covered with plateaus of grasslands and forests of oak and coniferous trees. The most common plant species are birch, alder, and bamboo.
Wildlife includes leopard, black bear, musk deer, and ghoral. Bird species include Impeyan pheasant, chakor, magpie and others. It has also gained religious fame as home of Khaptad Swami, a spiritual saint. The best time to visit Khaptad is during autumn.
Rara National Park
Rara National Park was established in 1976. It covers an area of 106 sq. kilometers. This park is located in Northwest Nepal. The centerpiece of this park is the pristine Rara Lake. The park mainly covered by coniferous forest.
Trees include blue pine, juniper and spruce. Wildlife includes musk deer, leopard, black beer and ghoral. Snow trout is the only fish recorded in the lake. Birds include grebe, snow cock, kalij pheasant, chakor and partridge.
Shey-Phoksundo National Park
Shey-Phoksundo National Park was established in 1984. It is the largest park in Nepal, and has the area of 3,555 sq. kilometers. It is situated in the mountainous region of West Nepal. This park is roughly divided into Himalayan range and the river valleys.
The Himalayan region has near-desert type vegetation while the river valley has forests of blue pine, spruce and poplar. The park is a prime habitat for snow leopard and blue sheep. Other animals include the black bear, Himalayan weasel, langur and tahr. Birds include the Impeyan pheasant, blood pheasant, jungle crow and snow partridge.
Makalu-Barun National Park
Makalu-Barun National Park and Conservation Area was established in 1992. It covers an area of 2,330 sq. kilometers. It is located in Northeast Nepal at the Nepal-Tibet border. This is the only protected area in Nepal with strict laws for nature conservation.
It has some of the richest and most unique plants and animals varieties in Nepal. The region's vegetation includes herbs, grasses, rhododendron and oaks. Wildlife includes red panda, musk deer, clouded leopard, barking deer, wild boar and marmot..
Royal Shukla Phanta Wildlife Reserve
The Royal Shukla Phanta Wildlife Reserve was established in 1976, and is located in the southern part of Far-west Nepal. The reserve is a prime habitat for swamp deer. Other wild animals include wild elephant, tiger, hispid hare and blue bull. Birds of 200 different varieties, including the rare Bengal florican, are found here. Python, cobra, monitor lizards and crocodiles are also found here.
Parsa Wildlife Reserve
The Parsa Wildlife Reserve was established in 1984, and covers an area of 499 sq. kilometers. It is located in the Terai region of Central Nepal. The reserve's wildlife includes wild elephant, tiger, sloth bear, hog deer and hyena. Birds include giant hornbill, peafowl, red jungle fowl and woodpecker. Snakes of different varieties exist here, including king cobra, krait, rat snake and python.
The park has a sub-tropical climate, and is forested with Sal trees. Other vegetation includes sissoo, silk cotton tree and khair. Tall sabai grass, also known as elephant grass, also abound here.
Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve
This reserve was established in 1976. Its area is 175 sq. kilometers. This reserve lies in the flood plains of the River Sapta Koshi in Mideast Nepal, and is a favorite spot for bird enthusiasts. The reserve's vegetation includes spreads of tall grass and patches of Sissoo forest. The last surviving herd of wild buffaloes in Nepal is found here.
Other species include wild boar, hog deer, spotted deer and blue bull called Nil Gai. A total of 280 species of birds, including ducks, ibises, egrets, herons and floricans, are recorded here. This area is extremely important for migratory birds. Other animal species include the crocodile, gharial and the Gangetic dolphins. Commercial fishing is also an important activity here.
