Our 4 Lakeland Inn was built in 1872 and is nestled on the south facing slope in Little Langdale -one of Lakelands unspoilt areas. The Three Shires provides the perfect situation for walking, touring and relaxing. We have ten prettily furnished rooms with stunning fell views. Log fires, traditional Ales, superb food, excellent views and friendly service. In summer the verandahs and window ledges are covered with beautiful hanging baskets and flower boxes. You are guaranteed excellent, friendly service and a warm welcome from the staff, and the Stephenson family who are celebrating 25 years at the Three Shires Inn. There are many walks straight from the door yet we are only 10 minutes from Ambleside and Coniston.

From Ambleside take the A591 towards Langdale and Coniston. At Skelwith Bridge keep left on the main road to Coniston. Take the right turn sign posted Elterwater, The Langdales, Wrynose Pass.Drop down hill and take first left to Little Langdale.
