The Old Racecourse Hotel is a friendly, family-run hotel. Excellently located close to the town centre and the beach we are a great base for visiting Burns Country, some of Scotland's greatest golf courses, excellent fishing and the beautiful vistas of Arran and the Clyde estuary. Of course, our name associates us with racing. The old course is no more but the 'new' course, home of the Scottish Grand National and the Ayr Gold Cup, is only a few minutes drive away. Whether you are staying in one of our newly refurbished bedrooms or simply visiting to enjoy our cosy bar and excellent and highly rated menu, a warm welcome to our guests is always guaranteed. Our comprehensive menu and fresh home cooked meals are highly recommended and are available at lunch times and in the evenings. **Billback is not accepted by this establishment - payment must be made either on check out or before arrival**.

How to reach for Old Race Course Hotel
Name: Directions: From Glasgow - Head for Ayr on M77/A77 South. At Dutchhouse roundabout take left staying on A77. At Whitletts Roundabout take 2nd exit continuing on A77 South. At Holmston roundabout turn right. Take 1st road on left (Hillfoot Road). Continue on road until you come to a small roundabout. Go straight through. You are on Belmont Rd. Continue over level crossing to crossroads. At crossroads go straight through and then immediate right into Ewanfield Ave. Turn right at bottom, then take 1st proper road on left (Corsehill Rd). Continue on Corsehill Rd until you come to lights. From South-Head for Ayr on A70 via Cumnock. As you approach Ayr, A70 meets A77 at Holmston Roundabout. At roundabout go straight on. Take 1st left (Hillfoot Rd). Continue until you come to small roundabout. Go straight over onto Belmont Rd. Continue over level crossing to crossroads, continue straight ahead, take immediate right, Ewanfield Ave. Turn right at end of road, then left (Coreshill Rd) continue to lights.
