The oldest hotel in Ayr, the Swallow Station Hotel is housed in an imposing, four-storey Victorian building, sited adjacent to the train station and 500 metres from the beach. The 73 guestrooms are decorated in a rich Victorian style with claret-coloured carpets and fabrics and polished dark-wood furnishings. Room amenities include wireless Internet connectivity, televisions, clock radios, coffee/tea-makers, desks, direct-dial phones and bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. Guests can relax over drinks in the Gallery lounge bar, enjoy morning cappuccinos in the coffee shop, or browse for souvenirs in the gift shop.
