Getting there. Trains run from the airport to Manchester. From here take a train to Barnsley and then a taxi to the hotel. Alternatively taxis are available from outside the terminal and cost approximately 45 GBP. The centre of Tankersley can easily be explored on foot. Cars or public transport can be used for travelling further afield. Driving directions. From the airport, continue onto Malaga Avenue and at the roundabout take the first exit onto Terminal Road North. Bear left onto Outwood Lane and join the M56. Continue onto the M60, take junction 24 and at the roundabout take the third exit onto the M67. Take the right-hand lane and at the roundabout take the second exit onto the A57 (Barnsley, Sheffield). Continue onto Hyde Road, entering Mottram.
