From Birmingham International Airport (BHX): Distance to City Nites Birmingham is 8 miles, approximately 25 minutes' drive. Getting there. A free Skyrail monorail runs every couple of minutes from Terminal 1 to Birmingham's International train station and the city's National Exhibition Centre (NEC). A train then runs from the International station to New Street station, 700 metres from City Nites. Black cabs are available 24 hours a day from an official rank in front of the airport passenger terminals. The fare to the city centre is approximately 18 GBP and to City Nites around 25 GBP. Shuttles run every 30 minutes into the city centre. Buses link the surrounding areas to the airport. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. There is an extensive bus and train network in Birmingham city centre, and a tram runs between Birmingham and Wolverhampton. The centre can easily be explored by foot. Driving directions. From north or south on the M6, exit at Junction 6 to Birmingham Central. Follow the signs for A456, ICC and NIA. On reaching Broad Street, take the first right at the Novotel Hotel. Go straight across the first roundabout, at the second take the third exit, then the first left into Edward Street.
