Conveniently Situated Being Adjacent To East Midland Airport With The M1/M42 Two Miles Away.This charming historical hotel is situated in the centre of the small town of Castle Donington. It is a quiet and relaxing location, yet only a short distance from the city of Derby, which can be reached in about 25 minutes by car. Donington Park is approx. 3 km away, whilst Alton Towers theme park is some 65 km from the hotel. The nearest airport is East Midlands, just 5 km from the hotel.This beautifully appointed manor house was constructed in 1794 as a coaching inn on the main route from Nottingham to Ashby. It was originally named the Rawdon Hotel and was conceived and built by the Marquis of Hastings. Now a privately owned establishment providing a high level of service and intimacy, the hotel features a total of 32 rooms, including 15 suites. There is a reception hall with a cloakroom, as well as an on-site restaurant serving good food and drink.
