This historic hotel has played host to many prestigious events with guests visiting from all over the world, and we guarantee that you will enjoy your stay with us.In 2005, all bedrooms and bathrooms received major refurbishment bringing them to a 4 star plus standard, we offer 136 modern bedrooms including 10 individually designed suites - some featuring four poster bed, others a roll top bath whilst our largest suites have the addition of a boardroom / dinning room.Experience traditional splendor in the surroundings of the magnificent Wedgwood Room, breakfast and dinner are served daily offering a wide variety of popular dishes, using the freshest of ingredients. The Library Restaurant, due to open in February 2006, will add a new dimension to fine dinning in the Harrogate area. Serving classic and innovative dishes in elegant surroundings, the Library will be the place to be seen. Please note we operate a smart/casual dress code.The Swan Lounge and Bar, open early - 'til late, presents warm comfortable surroundings in which to enjoy morning coffee, a light lunch, traditional afternoon tea, pre-diner drinks and fabulous cocktails. The policy of the Old Swan is to ensure that all dishes listed on the menu are free of GM products.The hotel offers an excellent location. Harrogate's most famous hotel, The Old Swan is the premier choice in the town. Classically presented bar & restaurants with 136 contemporary bedrooms and stylish bathrooms. Originating from an 18th-Century coaching inn and rebuilt into Harrogate's grandest hotel in 1840, the Old Swan has undertaken a full refurbishment completed in February 2006. Set in 5 1/2 acres of gardens, the hotel is famous as the retreat of Agatha Christie during her disappearance in 1926 and then as the location for the film 'Agatha' starring Dustin Hoffman and Vanessa Redgrave in 1977. All rooms booked on this site are fully refurbished and feature colour TV, trouser press, iron & ironing board, welcome refreshment tray and stylish ensuite bathroom. Please note all our bedrooms are non-smoking. We have a variety of rooms to offer from our Classic Rooms to our larger Executive rooms as well as 10 individually designed suites - some with Four Poster beds and others featuring a freestanding bath big enough for two. Conference rooms can accommodate up to 400 people.
