A superb spa complex, opened in 2005, includes an infinity pool with waterfall, massage pool with jacuzzi, hot & cold pools, sauna & steam room. treatments are expected to be available from july 2006. there is also a well-equipped gym. there is direct access from the new spa to the hotels lawned gardens where guests can enjoy sunbathing in the summer months. a childrens club operates during the july/august school holidays. this is the largest conference & function centre on the island. complimentary car parking available to all guests(06/06it). a large impressive 19th century building in the grand chateau-style with modern additions. building works are taking place to the lido de france which is opposite the hotel and does not house any of the hotel’s facilities and in no way disrupts the enjoyment of staying in this hotel. from the end of june this work is expected to be interior only. every room is as high a standard as would be expected from a hotel like this. the rooms include: satellite television, 24 hour room service, direct-dial telephone, modem capability, hair dryers, tea/coffee making facilities. laundry & dry cleaning available. there is a choice of two beautiful restaurants, in both of which the food is excellent. the gallery offers an intimate atmosphere for a la carte dining, whilst the new caf㩠aroma, with its terrace for dining al fresco, provides an all-day menu. both have a splendid bar. a large lobby with concierge where all island tours and car hire can be arranged from. reception is open 24 hours. situated on st saviours road, 15 minutes from the town centre and overlooking st helier.

From Jersey Airport (JER): Distance to the Hotel de France is 7 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive. Getting there. The number 15 bus leaves the airport every 20 minutes for St Helier's bus station. Single tickets cost 1.60 GBP. Taxis are available from a rank next to the arrivals building, and cost around 10 GBP to St Helier. Taxi fares are higher on bank holidays and at night. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. St Helier is easy to explore by bicycle or on foot. Buses run from St Helier to most of the surrounding towns. A car is recommended for visiting the less touristy parts of the island.
