The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Liverpool. It offers good access to public transport, with Liverpool Lime Street train station just 2 minutes away, and Queen Square bus station 5 minutes away. The hotel is just 16 km from Liverpool Airport, while Manchester Airport is 57 km away. The Met Quarter and its shopping opportunities and the Walker Art Gallery are also in the immediate vicinity. Penny Lane and the Liverpool Tate Modern can reached easily on public transport.This city hotel, which dates back to 1900, was renovated in 2005. It has 50 rooms in total spread over 3 floors. The hotel offers a lobby with 24-hour reception, hotel safe, lift access, TV room as well as bar and limited dining facilities. There are limited parking spaces available (subject to fees).If guests are intending to arrive late it is advisable to inform the hotel when booking. Alcoholic beverages are available for hotel residents after normal licensing hours on request and at the discretion of the night porter. The hotel reception is open 24-hours a day.This is a good, two-star standard hotel with dining facilities. All rooms are in excellent condition. Iron and hair dryer are available from the reception free of charge. With the location and price of this hotel, a lot of young guests stay here and the residents’ bars may stay open until early hours of morning. This hotel is not recommended if guests are looking for an early nights sleep - in particular over weekends or football dates. The hotel gained great publicity a month ago when Paris Hilton stayed here when attending the Carling Academy next door. The entrance is covered by a large canopy.On entering the hotel, reception is located on the left and the main bar on the right. A residents’ bar can be found further down the corridor on the left. Both the main bar and the residents’ bars have wide screen televisions and serve a wide range of drinks. Both bars are open from 11 am - 11 pm, Mon - Sat, Sunday 12.30 - 10.30 pm but the residents bar will stay open when required.

Liverpool city centre can be explored on foot and is well served by buses and taxis. Driving directions. From the airport, follow signs for the city centre. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A651. Continue along this road and through the traffic lights to the end of Aigburth Road. Turn left at the first set of traffic lights and then right at the second set of lights. Continue along Park Road (A651), heading towards the city centre. This road will become the A5038, Great George Street. At the set of lights at the end, turn onto Hardman Street. At the first set of lights, turn left onto Rodney Street and continue through three sets of lights. At the fourth set of lights, turn left onto Lord Nelson Street. The hotel is halfway down on the right hand side, with a car park behind the hotel.
