This hotel has rooms that contain bunk beds and there are no private facilities.This simple hotel is located in Compton Place, close to London's City district. Given the excellent tube connections, it is very easy to reach the most popular tourist attractions, as well as the numerous shopping centres and other entertainment venues.This hotel is designed in a youth hostel style, which is open to guests over the age of 18. It is simply equipped and yet still manages to offer guests a number of amenities. The hotel has lift access and a 24-hour reception, a newspaper stand, a small supermarket, a bar, a pub, a nightclub and an air-conditioned restaurant with a separate non-smoking area. There is a conference room and Internet connection available for those travelling on business. In their free time, guests may make use of the TV room and the games room. There is a shop on-site selling theatre tickets, travel passes, tourist information and most travel essentials.Guests should remember to bring a towel, as well as a photo ID for check in. A padlock is recommended for the dorm rooms (over 18's only). Open 24 hours with no curfew. A free luggage room is available upon check in and out.The rooms in this hotel are very basically decorated and furnished to cater for the backpacker market. However, the public areas are very modern and geared towards young 18-35 year-old travellers. There is an excellent lively bar in the hotel which serves cheap drinks every night. Located within the airport terminal is the Docklands Light Railway station (DLR), which departs regularly for Canning Town, 10 minutes, Canary Wharf, 14 minutes, and Bank, 22 minutes. At Canning Town, visitors should take the Jubilee line to connect to London Underground (Tube) services. King's Cross Underground Station is 700 metres from the hostel. Tickets cost 4 GBP for a single, but a one-day travel pass is more economical and practical for multiple journeys. The airport is also served by local buses and London black taxis. Taxis to the hostel cost approximately 30 to 50 GBP. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. The London Underground (Tube) and buses are the easiest ways to travel within London.
