Public parking on charge under the building.NB. Hotel will be commencing a multi-milion pound refurbishment of bedrooms and suites from 26th March 2006, running for approximately 18 months. The hotel will remain fully operational and in order to minimise any disruption to our guests, the renovation will be carried out in two phases. Phase I. will take place from April to October 2006.Phase II. will take place from November 2006 to June 2007. During these periods the hotel will reduce its inventory from 445 rooms to approximately 220 rooms.Any noise will be restricted to the working hours of 9.30 am - 5.30 pm Monday to Friday and from 10.00 am - 1.30 pm on Saturday. No work will be undertaken during Sundays.All banqueting and conference facilities will continue to be fully operational throughout this time. The Montagu and Locanda Locatelli will also remain open.This popular luxury hotel is situated in the central location of Portman Square, close to Hyde Park and the famous shopping area of Oxford Street. Marble Arch tube station is less than 5 minutes from the hotel.Built in 1971 and extensively renovated in the year 2000, this luxurious hotel offers a total of 445 rooms, including 18 singles, 362 doubles and 56 suites spread over 9 floors. Very imposing entrance and drive, where a group of doormen await the guests.The hotel has a large and very imposing lobby which adjoins the lounge area where there is additional seating. At the end of the lobby, and surrounded by comfortable sofas, there is a huge, contemporary fireplace. All public areas are brightly decorated with a grey marble floor, marbled columns and pictures on the walls. This is one of the best hotel lobbies in London.
