General Description for Creag Meagaidh
Set within the Cairngorm National Park, this small, family-run BandB offers the ideal base from which to explore the wonderful Cairngorm and Monadh Liath mountain ranges. There is ample parking in front of the house and a secluded patio area at the back. We have secure storage and cleaning area for bikes, golf clubs etc and facilities for drying gear. We also have free wi-fi for laptops. A comfortable and modern home, Creag Meagaidh stands in the village of Newtonmore, which has a wonderful circular route around it called the Wildcat Trail. This is a fabulous walk (or run) with great views of the River Spey, the Cairngorm Mountains, Creag Dubh hill, woodlands, waterfalls and all sorts of wildlife.We strive to be environmentally friendly by only using eco-friendly cleaning products, using energy-efficient appliances, recycling and composting as much waste as possible and using Fair Trade tea and coffee and fresh local ingredients wherever possible. We also make our own bread, jams and marmalade and we specialise in vegetarian cooking.Special deals are available for multiple night stays and we are also offering Christmas and New Year packages.We can provide pickup for visitors arriving by train or plane and offer various day trips to fabulous locations around Scotland.

From the South, leave the A9 following the sign for Newtonmore. Enter Newtonmore and continue along the main street. Creag Meagaidh is on the main road on your right-hand side, opposite the Balavil Hotel and Waltzing Waters.From the North, leave the A9 following the sign for Kingussie and Newtonmore. Drive through Kingussie and continue on to Newtonmore. Creag Meagaidh is on the main road on your left-hand side, opposite the Balavil Hotel and Waltzing Waters.
